Just wondering if the Built to Serve limited edition Rams are supposed to be for current & former military personnel? I love the gator green army one, but I don't think it would be right to drive around in it if u have never served your country. Am I wrong to assume that ?

I don't think there are any actual requirements to purchase the built to serve editions. As prior Army myself, I wouldn't give you a hard time about owning one and never having served. Realistically they are just special colors and seats. It's not like "I'm a soldier" is plastered all over them or anything. Others might have different opinions, but I doubt it.

If I had known the grey version was eventually coming, I would have waited and gotten one of those. Or even the green.

I never served in the armed forces. But I would be proud to buy one of these limited edition trucks. In my mind, it would be out of respect for those who did serve, and especially those who paid the ultimate price. In the same way I proudly fly the flag at home.

I bought my truck last fall, just before they announced they were making them. Otherwise I would have ordered one in green.

Nope. No restrictions. Bought mine two weeks ago and I've never served. I wasn't looking for it because of its special edition features. I ended up getting it because it checked every box I wanted in the ram. I felt the same way and I completely understand. It's out of respect for our fellow countrymen who did decide to serve. The people on these forums helped alleviate my feelings of weirdness around the decals and said I should just enjoy the truck - Thanks again guys.

Hell yeah boys buy those things.
You have American hearts and understand why a company did it. You don’t need to check any personal boxes for these trucks or any other reason.

Contrary to what the world wants you to believe it’s ok to be a patriot.

I am sure it was designed for Vets by Chrysler, and I would have loved to find a Gator one in Laramie trim but that was not in the cards for me. Zero issue with any Red blooded American to purchase and drive one. Merica.. F*&k yea!

I would say you are just proud to honor those that served plus you are a deplorable so that's extra points in my book:)

Looked at one. Has something of a Rebel vibe with those seats but BH externally.
Can’t imagine what the green one looks like.
