Brightness issue

I used to have a 2014 ram and my screen brightness would change automatically depending on time of day. Currently I have a 2024 ram and have to use the roller to the left of the steering wheel to adjust brightness. My headlights are on auto and I have the setting enabled to auto on my screen. Any help?

Have you looked at the multimedia section of your owner's manual? I have a 2022 and there are detailed instructions for this. From what I'm seeing you have to go to manual mode for the setup and then it should change with ambient light form outside automatically.

The brightness doesn't change per time of day, it changes if the lights are on or not. The dial needs to be below the "click". Above the "click", it's on bright all the time.
