I've been a Dodge/Jeep customer since 2006, and just took delivery of a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L Crew Cab 4x4 in Patriot Blue on Tuesday. I'd been looking for trucks for a while for towing my Camper and heavily modified Jeep. We had just completed a 2,000 mile round trip from Chicago to Colorado for our family vacation in a 2016 Wrangler with 4.5" lift, 37" off-road tires, and Soft Top. It was not comfortable. It was the straw that broke the camel's back for my wife (my plan worked!!) that allowed me to get my tow vehicle! Within 36 hours, all she can say is "I can't believe we've gone 3 years doing road trips across the country in the Jeep". I'm blown away that the Ram has more cabin space than her 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit. The 4 and 8yo can't even touch each other from their respective seats in the back!

Welcome to 5thGenRams!!! That is crazy! We too are 2016 Wrangler owners that also had a 2014 Grand Cherokee (Overland, not a Summit), and just traded it on a 2019 Ram 1500 - small world sometimes!!!

That's crazy! We kept all three. We considered "upgrading" her GC to a newer year, but we sat in a '19 while I was buying the Ram, and there was ZERO difference between the 2014 and the 2019. Just got her GC detailed instead and it LOOKS like new.

Yeah the Grand Cherokee hasn't changed hardly any at all since 2014. Boy these Ram trucks have though. I've had a 1986, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010, and now a 1988 W250 along with the 2019 - the new trucks are absolutely incredible compared to previous generations!

Congrats on your new truck. I would love to see pics of your JK.

Exact reasons I went with the Ram.

Great photo of your Wrangler with the mountains in the background. Your whole family will love the new Ram!

They already do! The amount of comfort between the Ram and the Wrangler is a little different. It took my wife 36 hours to be fully convinced of the decision to get the Ram.
