I have 2022 2500 diesel short bed with 31000 miles. I over heated the brakes towing a 10000 lb fifth wheel rv and need to replace the rotors and pads.
Should I spend the extra money and get drilled and slotted rotors?

I don't think so. There is something else in the mix that needs fixing.
I pulled a 11,000 lb tt with a 2001 diesel excursion no exhaust brake and towed over Vail pass and many times over the Saluda pass in NC without a problem.
Some would say it's all about speed and brake and gear management.

you should post in the heavy-duty forum, we only talk 1500 here

no drilled rotor are usually cheap and like to crack around the drill holes. the good ones have the holes cast into them then machined.
best bet it to keep em as stock as possible. i would say the engineers knew what breaks to put on the truck and don't mess with it but some of those same engineers or bean counters made a few questionable choices in other areas of the RAM......
