I have read through several threads and seen various degrees of success but looking to see if anyone has had any recent success. I'm at 36,210 so just out of warranty so trying to avoid taking in for service. I have a call in to the dealership to see if they will help me out since it is so close. Also hoping that the recall could be the issue.

Last week was very cold (about 20F) so I assumed that was the issue, but warmed up and still blue screen. I am going to check fuse. Is it tough to get to the tailgate connection?

Any other thoughts?

Blue screen while trying to view your backup camera means the radio isn't getting any video signal from the camera. This can mean the camera is dead, there is a bad connection, or the camera isn't getting the power/ground it needs to work. Hard to know for sure without swapping parts or testing with a multimeter.
Check if you have any power to the camera in the tailgate.
Check if you have good signal from the camera connector to the two pins on the radio's connection.
If the camera is not OEM, take the RCA from the camera and plug it into a TV to see if you get video signal.
