Did you ever find the part number? I’d be interested in replacing the chrome with black too.Trying to get rid of some of the chrome on my 2019 Laramie, and am having trouble identifying the part number for the black trim along the windows.
Thanks for the help!
Nick
They have metal clips and 3m mounting tape. They can definitely be reused, just slap some new 3m tape on there.I don't know if the chrome comes off easy or if it would be in shape to be reinstalled - but if it is, I want to put chrome window surround on my Bighorn. If you guys taking off the chrome think it is good to go for installation on another Ram, I'm a buyer for it.
Can you get them off without bending them up?They have metal clips and 3m mounting tape. They can definitely be reused, just slap some new 3m tape on there.
Yes you can, I was able to get mine off without bending them up. They pop out pretty easily, as long as you don't yank too hard, you won't bend them. I can't speak for the chrome ones, as I never had them (I assume they would be the same), but the black ones, no problem. I replaced mine because the dealer installed the AVS ventvisors and they tore the crap out of the window mouldings when I removed themCan you get them off without bending them up?
Interestingly, when I go to the Mopar store (American instead of your Canadian links), the part numbers come up as 2020-2022 and says it does NOT fit my 2019, which I find extremely odd. Here's that backordered one but says it doesn't fit 2019. Anyone have any idea why it would be different? 2020-2022 Ram 1500 Day Light Opening Molding, Left 68348685AG | My Mopar PartsAnd here they are:

Thanks man. I suspected as much because nothing changed between 19-22 body panel wise on the trucks, so I found it odd, but your explanation makes total sense.I’m in Canada, probably why they linked that way. I had the same problem when ordering parts. I can confirm they fit. The part numbers remain the same, but the last letter changes with each production run is my understanding, so the lower letters weren’t listed for the 21/22 as they didn’t exist at the time. I have a few “2019” trim pieces on my 21, even though they weren’t listed as compatible.
I'm looking to install the chrome with the gloss black pillars on my truck as well. do have the US part numbers? or your old partsThey have metal clips and 3m mounting tape. They can definitely be reused, just slap some new 3m tape on there.
