I have a Mopar Maximum Care Extended Warranty on my 2020 that explicitly states that any issues tied to a lift kit that’s either over 4-inches and/or not a Mopar kit won’t be covered under the extended warranty. I’d like to install the Bilstein 5100 adjustable front shocks to level out my truck (less than a 2-inch level), but I was hoping to know if anyone who has installed the Bilsteins and also has the extended warranty has had any issues where the dealer wouldn’t honor the extended warranty due to the shocks.

I understand that any failure of a component directly related to the shock wouldn’t be covered, but are there any other issues that anyone has run into?

My ESP states that only Mopar parts (that are installed by a dealership) are covered. Anything outside of that and you roll the dice.

I still have the stock suspension but it is my understanding that the basic warranty is a little more "user-friendly" in that anything 2" or less is covered.

As long as they don't determine that it was the shocks/lift that caused the issue you'll be covered. Since it would be lifted by non-OEM components that would mean that you would have to be willing to deal with any front end issues yourself as a dealership can easily try to pin steering, drivetrain, and suspension issues to and aftermarket-induced non-OEM geometry.

I would just expect them to deny any warranty claims for the shocks or any parts damaged due to the shocks. If you have the stock UCA's and off road package with a 2" level and your ball joint fails they are not going to warranty that. But things up to 2" really don't create that much damage so not much to worry about.
