Bilstein 5160 why 2 different part numbers?

So I ask this because the part number ending in 67 is out of stock since February but the 46 is in stock. Can I buy 2 46’s?? Thanks fir any help

There is a left and right side. The only difference between them is the bracket that secures the external reservoir. The brackets are installed mirrored from each other with a flat stickered side facing outwards, and are not easily removed/flipped. I have two 46s installed and they function just fine. I don't sweat the direction of the brackets as they are not really seen with the wheels on. The picture below from bilsteinlifts.com actually shows two left side shocks (46s). The reverse side of that black bracket is split with screws tightening the bracket.

I also am running 2 of the same. I actually removed the bracket to try to reverse it but the inside of the bracket has grooves so it only fits 1 way and the wording was upside down so I put it back but they function perfectly it's just a cosmetic thing.

100% interchangeable. Several people currently running 2 left shocks. Have had mine on for 2 months so far no issues

Yeah I can't see any reason you would have an issue running 2 rights or 2 lefts. You just wouldn't see the branding on one side.

The seller I worked with (HS Tuning) confirmed directly with Bilstein before fulfilling my order. "I do not think so" answers are not confidence inspiring from a seller haha. I like yes or no answers.

I just installed two lefts a few days ago. No issues.

I did remove and flip the bracket around so the Logo faced correctly. It was unnecessary because you can't see it when mounted.
