hi fellas, looked at the kits. Looked at beltech kits. many to choose from.

so Im thinking the lowering coilovers in front kit. easy swap in.

I see they have a adjustable strut kit I assume that you use the stock spring and top and just use the bottom collar supplied to lower the spring.

thoughts? experience with setup and ride quality ?
thanks
Chris

You might try search too because this has been discussed by many on here.

Use the search bar at the top. Search Belltech, in titles only. You will come across some threads that discuss this topic.

I would personally go for the lowering spindle kit, and upgrade the struts with Bilstein since OEM struts suck. Better for suspension geometry.

Look at the new kit from Ridetech as well.

That Ridetech kit looks nice. Adjustable coil-overs all the way around should provide a really good ride. I would have liked to go that direction, but I’m not willing to give up any towing capabilities. I am considering their coil-overs for the front, but I’m not sure about what the ride will be like combining that with my airbags on the back.

You're on bags in rear correct, so not towing capability to give up? How much is the kit? I didn't look that much into it.

I decided to go up and bit the bullet for the BDS 3" with Fox 2.5 kit. Waiting on shipping, then figure out wheels, OEM w/ 35's or screw it and new whole setup :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

As long as the OP does not have factory 22” wheels, or is willing to spend $400 on new hubs. But yes, the spindle is usually the best way to lower to eliminate having to make additional changes.

Correct. Mevotech has the hubs cheaper than OEM. Those I priced awhile back when I was considering. Like $300 a set if remember. To make the geometry better would be worth the cost.

Correct, I’m on Timber Grove 4” Low CRM bags. They support 6k lbs and allow me to bring the rear of the truck back to level, or higher, while towing or carrying a load in the bed. The bag kit is about $600, but has to be aired up manually. But I added the on-board air system which adds about $1k or so. I have an on-board tank, which he is no longer doing. My air kit has the tank, compressor, and all other components mounted on a SS plate that is designed to mount under the truck behind the front bumper. Very clean install. His kits are all bolt-on. Then I added an adjustable pan hard bar, and a geometry correction cut-cut kit. I’ve got a lot invested in the rear suspension. I’ve always wanted a lowered truck, but refuse to give up any towing capabilities. This kit allows we to have my lowered truck and keep towing capabilities.
