I love the new bed step (especially compared to Ford's goofy pull out and drop step) and got to jump on one at the Houston Auto Show but it seems to not exist yet. The brochure states that it is part of the Bed Utility Group but it doesn't seem to get listed anywhere. Is it another late availability item or is it shipping and just not referenced? Seems like it would be an easy bolt on later except that the Longhorn shown at the show appeared to have a special plastic upper trim piece (one with the backup sensors) that had a cutout for the tab used to raise/lower the step.

I've been all over the net looking. Went to the dealer, parts. Nothing listed. Two after Market sources but their big. Like 11 inches. The parts department never new it was an option. So it may show up later. OEM has prior year steps, but they look like the same aftermarket available. Oh black bed utility rails also not yet available. Holes already punched in beds of 2019s. I emailed the customer support on Dodge. Com owners site. Some guy said he'd check into it.

Bed rails are up on mopar online parts, but showing backordered.

How can they show these cool accessories and then we can't find them anywhere. Frustrating to say the least.

Firecadet. You remember the part number so I could keep an Eye on the availability? My dealer had a web picture but not a reference number?
thanks in advance.

No problem. I'll keep my eye out for the bed step...I may get it since I'm losing my tailgate step.

I think it's the best solution out there. Very easy to extend/retract with one foot and felt amazingly solid with my 200 lbs on it. It also makes sense of the Mopar bed assist handle on the same side.

Ford's is just unwieldy to extend and you still need the pull out "newell post" for any assist. Also adds ~75 lbs to the tailgate I believe? Chevy's is not much more handy than just stepping on the bumper. Ram's seems to be just right.

$218 Isn't horrible for the bed rails. I'm gonna pick some up once they are available

I wonder if they will make one to be fitted on the right side of the bed as well..

I love the tailgate step, although the tailgate is very heavy compared to the Ram.

I never use the assist pole and am happy it's hiddenin the tailgate on my '16 vs being above the tailgate on my '14.

Not sure I'll be able to just walk intothe bed on the Mopar bed step versus the Ford tailgate step.

Placed an order for a Limited this morning. On the draft order, it priced out the Bed Utility Group at $395 just like I expected but on the final print out after the dealer placed the order I noticed that MSRP total had gone up $100 and it was the bed utility group. It suddenly jumped to $495 and the dealer couldn't explain it. He did say he wouldn't charge me for it but I'm wondering if the price hike now includes the bed step?

He did a print out of the group and it still only showed the bedliner, tie downs, and bed extender (for RamBox).

Mine did the same thing, but they gave me the draft order price too. Did you see they 100 charge for each paint color except for the Ivory color which is 500? What if you don't choose a color do they send it to you with primer on it? LOL

I dont see the bed step included in the bed utility group any where.

i just checked both websites (im from canada) for the u.s. site i could NOT get the bed step to show up in the "bed utility group" tried level 2 etc. the canadian website "bed utility group" shows bed step included ONLY when selecting "off road package" I think this might be a glitch.

Well i ordered the bed utility group and off road package and it does not show the step any where.

where are you from? like i mentioned- it only shows up on the canadian website with the off road pkg. not sure why the u.s. and canadian website would be totally different?

It's not included in the US. I've seen/driven many trucks with the BUG and no step.
