,2025 1500 SST hurricane shortbed. Looking at bed liners. Mopar has a drop in for $460.00
Anyone have one? How's price?

Thanks

My 2026 1500 came with the drop in installed at the factory. I like that it has a rubbery, 'Rhino Lined' sort of texture that keeps crap from sliding around too much. Like any giant formed piece of plastic, it is not perfectly form-fitting, but I am happy with it so far.

Thats not a bad price. I had a factory drop in on my 4th gen. The drop-in will offer more protection for the bed, but spray in will actually last longer if its done professionally.

Plastic drop in will rub your paint and ruin it, definitely go with a spray in.

I vote spray-in bed liner vs. drop-in bed liner:

  • Moisture gets trapped underneath = rust/corrosion = long-term problems.
  • As noted previously, rubs due to movement = above noted problems.

I have previous experience with a drop-in bed liner = had all the above problems - ended as a, not so happy expereince for me. Your Mileage May Vary, as do your needs/expectations.

In the 2 different trucks with spray-in bed liners, I found them very durable. One truck had it for 12 years - faded but still functional. Current Nused truck - factory spray-in bed liner (2020), some light fading - still very serviceable and functional. I consider the fading cosmetic to be in nature and not functional. My truck bed is used on a regular basis for hauling all kinds of things. Now, I'm diligent to not beat the snot out of the truck bed, but it does get used, things are drug accross the bed as a part of its use. But I do try to be careful and gentle when possible.

Everyone has different needs/wants/affordability variables.
Price and warranty service should also be factors to be considered.
If I were spending my hard-earned pennies, as noted above, check with local spray-in liner dealers where you live, just to see what your options are before you buy/commit. Many spray-in liner brands offer a lifetime warranty/repair, so there is that safety in that choice.

Good luck with your personal choice.

Well said

I use a Mopar bed mat along with the spray in liner on my '16 Ram. Nothing slides on the mat and it's easy to remove if necessary for cleaning. I also have an Undercover Flex bed cover.
