Bed light install

I did my bed light install today there was nothing in the directions telling me where to plug the 2 wires into which socket on the drivers side so I guessed. I guessed wrong now I cant get the light out of the wall. I'm guessing the clip is on the top of the light but cant get it. Any ideas?

Nevermind that wasn't the problem they are two different sizes and they only going one way
