Just installed LED lights in bed. Saw an idea of using a magnetic switch placed near the liftgate assist piston for auto on when tailgate opens. Kit came with a switch for manual turn off if you don’t want it on with tailgate open. Also, tied into power on 7-pin trailer hitch instead of running wires directly to the battery. 2-3 hr install and great result.
