Banks pedal monster infomercial

This is interesting to me. I have an person commander and I've lived it but he craps pretty hard on it during that spot.

So this connects to the OBD port and not wired though the gas pedal? Just when I talked myself out of getting one of these things

I’m happy with my Sprint Booster, just saw this and passing along couldn’t care less about the interface or Bluetooth, only thing that caught my attn was the part about using the power from the pedal and voltage drop. I’ve never experienced an issue but interesting.

For the same price as the PC without the gauge this seems like the unit to buy out of the two. I have been contemplating buying the PC, but now I am convinced that the Banks would be a much better buy.

I am liking it too...very interesting. Someone mentioned the ability to clear codes? Is this true?

I really like my Pedal Commander, it’s difficult to think anything would be better than that! Never a minutes problem out of it or the truck!

I really like mine too... But I feel like it could do more, like it seems this one does. Recognizing gear so you don't jerk in reverse, or adjust how touchy it is based on speed? Sounds awesome.

Just purchased another pc for my 20 Ram but I think I'll order the Banks to compare. My biggest complaint is the low speed jerkiness of the pedal commander. I'd love a more progressive approach. On higher settings it literally takes a fraction of a pedal press to lurch forward. Even worse when the trucks cold.

No. It still hooks up through the pedal like the Pedal Commander only it takes the 5 volts off the OBD instead of the pedal. This is the fatal flaw if you bump the pedal commander it trips the voltage goes limp and throws codes. The Banks does not. Also the banks has a failsafe where it defaults to the stock signal if anything happens. You can also hook an iDash to it and get readings and adjust it from there.

Love the Banks. Its insane. I even got the iDash hooked up to it and it shows the stock input vs the Pedal monster. At max level the input triples! The accelaration is borderline unbearable in the city or in traffic. I got it because they figured out how to get power from the OBD instead of the pedal, which can cause a lot of issues, throw codes, go limp, void warranty. The app works flawless but I use the iDash to adjust on the fly.

Pedal Commander works fine for me - does what I need it to do.

And I call BS on the "throw your pedal out the window in case the module fails". I can have it disconnected in under 30 seconds.

The one thing another vendor told me about, as a possible danger (and any bluetooth configured controller can be a similar issue) is interference or hacking. While it's a remote possibility - the possibility exists. I would think if there was that much EMI/RFI in the environment - more stuff would be affected than just the pedal commander though.

That was merely a dramatization to demonstrate if the unit happened to fail your pedal is inop; which is true. There is no way you are going to reach down and unhook the pedal commander when rolling down the highway in traffic at 70mph.

Has anyone ever had one fail; not that I know of. Is it possible, of course. That is what Banks is marketing against.

The banks pedal monster is not available for 2019 ram?

Yeah, I had to click through a couple times to get the 5th gens to show.

We have a whole thread going on throttle controllers. One guy bought one...said it worked the same a pedal commander, except for the OBD part. But I was getting ready to order one and their rep (online chat) told me it only has a 1 year warranty. Before that they wouldn't return my calls or emails. Their customer service is crap. Try calling them or emailing them.... you'll see.

I ended up ordering a JMS PedalMax. (USA made). Waaaaay better customer service and warranty.

Pedal commander isn't any better in my experience; and I've owned one on three different trucks.
