My new white 1500 Laramie was delivered today. I'm another happy customer of Mark Dodge. (thanks Aaron and crew!) They served up a better deal than anyone local, by a fair bit. They had this truck in stock. With everything going on I wasn't sure I wanted to go through the ordering process, although the people at MD would have done it as well as possible. I don't have the tech package, would have liked that. The air suspension gives a better ride, but I always wonder how that would be long term, so I'm good with the standard suspension. I'm hoping this is one I can be happy with. I just turned 70 a few weeks ago and wanting life to be easy and calm, no drama with the truck.
I've had several in the past. I think the best overall was my 2009, it seemed the best quality and the best mpg. I'd ordered a Limited from Mark Dodge during covid and it was a disappointment. It wasn't responsive to drive, just felt sluggish, and never got close to the window mpg. How could they put 20 mpg on the 5.7 Limited for city? and 22 average? 25 mpg highway might have been possible at 50 mph with no headwind. It came with a couple of missing bolts under the hood too.
The new SST is very responsive, very smooth. The interior on this truck is nice, clean design. I like the locking bin in the console.
I'll be thinking about spray in liner, although a bed mat has attractions. I'm loving for a cover too - seems like BakFlip is still the most popular? Your thoughts? (5.7 bed)
Hope you are all well, and enjoying life with your Ram!
