Automatic Trailer Detection

I've noticed that the automatic trailer detection changes the size of my trailer. Sometimes it sees it as 20' and sometimes it's 30'.

The camper is about 20' hitch to back, so it's not a huge deal if it thinks it's longer. But why?

I'd like to know this too. Mine started out as 30', and then changed to 20'. My camper is actually 22'.

As far as I know it's based off the BSM system seeing something directly behind you. So it's guessing. It regularly says my 12 foot trailer is 20-30 feet long.
