Auto Start/Stop

Just picked up my new truck. Does Auto Start/Stop only start working after a certain mileage? Mine has engaged once yet.

Am I missing something?

There are certain conditions that have to be met. It needs to be warmed up. If the heater or A/C are being used, it won't shutdown. If you use auto climate and it is set at a decent temp, it will shutoff when reaching that temp.

Low batteries can prevent it from coming on. I found that out in the F150 I had. Changed the battery and it started working again.
