Audio clarification help

Hey all. I’ve read all the audio threads here and find myself confused. I have the 6 speaker package and do not understand the polarity issue. My stereo sounds like crap and I can’t turn it above 20-22 without it sounding like the anc is interfering. I ordered the kicker dash speakers and will be installing them but long term want to add a sub. What I really don’t understand is the polarity piece. Was the consensus that some speakers were reverse wired on purpose from the factory? If I disconnect the anc should I fix the polarity? Sorry for the question I’m just really not audio savvy. All I know is this is the worst sounding system I’ve ever had
