This is a very simple small change but one that helps my comfort. I like my simple Tradesman but I drive with my left arm on the arm rest and that hand on the wheel. Most of my vehicles have been manual transmission so I mainly steer with the left. Anyway, I find the hard plastic arm rest to be uncomfortable for my somewhat arthritic left elbow. I had some left over exercise mat material, black, about 3/8 thick, of pretty stiff foam. It was easy to cut it with scissors to the shape of the arm rest and I attached it with a loop of duck tape. Simple, cost me nothing, and really improves the comfort. Maybe the higher level trucks already have a comfortable arm rest, I don't know, but for my Tradesman, this is useful. The pictures show the unmodified arm rest, a strip of the mat a little over 3 inches wide I used, and the padded arm rest. I think it looks better if you use the smooth side, however, which I did on the drivers side.
