Are Ram Incentives Always so Specific?

I'd like to order a 2020. I'm not in a hurry and I'm willing to wait for an aggressive incentive program. I thought those would be coming out this time of year.

But unless I'm just looking in the wrong places, the incentives seem to be very specifically targeted. For example, I saw one incentive that seemingly applies to only Limited 4x4 Crew Cab models. I don't want a Limited, a 4x4 or a crew cab. And many of the the incentives I've seen have a narrow availability window - must take delivery by such and such a date - which would seem to preclude placing an order.

I will probably go with a white Night Edition 4x2 Laramie Quad-cab with the regular Hemi. And there are other specific options that I want (and don't want). I've searched the entire country and I don't see anything remotely close to this configuration in any dealer stock. Almost all of the in-stock white Night Edition trucks seem to be crew cabs with the eTorque, and the majority are 4x4's. I will definitely have to order to get what I want.

Does Ram not have incentive offers that apply to the 2020 1500 models across the board?

I doubt they're going to be pushing 2020s as hard as they could while there's still so many 2019s in dealer inventory. Within 100 miles of me, there are 2103 1500's and 675 1500 Classics sitting on dealer lots compared to 1618 2020's.

Rebates are like coupons in the sunday paper. They are item specific and have expiration dates. When I was truck shopping the rebates seemed to change monthly.

If you custom order a truck your dealer should be able to lock down the current rebates or you can gamble and take the rebate that is available at the time of delivery.

All the available rebates should be listed on the RAM website.

Yes, I realize incentives have expiration dates. But the "must take delivery by" dates I see on the Ram site seem to preclude ordering a vehicle. And many of the incentives seem to apply to a very specific configuration.

Also, not all incentives are rebates.

I agree that the 2020 incentives probably won't become more aggressive unit much of the 2019 stock has been depleted. I'll continue to be patient.
