Anyone use this catch can?

I’m also interested, never have had a catch can but am thinking I want to keep this truck a long time and feel like I should put one in

Yeah I never had one on anything g I've had but I've been seeing a bunch of stuff about these cans getting filled pretty quickly. If it helps keep most of it out of the engine then it seem worth it

Or you can get one like this

This is a mishimoto oil catch can and it works great. And it also has a life time warranty that covers everything including the hoses.

I wound up ordering the one I posted in that link on Thursday morning and it was delivered Friday afternoon. It seems like a nice product. I got it installed today and it only took me 10 minutes to do it. It's a straight forward install. When I removed the stock plastic hose I noticed oil has been traveling through it so if this catch can catches anything it will be a plus as opposed to letting the engine burn it. 20220402_183843.jpg20220402_184040.jpg

I use this one. It works just as good as catch cans twice the price. Has a drain valve on bottom for easy emptying.

Black Oil Catch Can Tank Compatible with 2009-2019 Dodge RAM Trucks 1500 2500 5.7L 6.2L 6.4L https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895FMYGC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_WRTT0GT4K6BQDD1VVZEP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Interested in this. I’m cheap and like getting no name brand stuff that works as good as the label. How often do you have to empty? Do you have any pics of it on your truck? Thanks

I empty it about every 2k miles and usually get about 2oz out of it, so could probably go between oil changes without emptying if I wanted. PXL_20200912_173750884.jpg

Yea sry I missed that

The universal ones work, the hardest part is figuring out how to mount it. For $25 more, you can get the one I posted that has a drain valve for easy emptying, and bolts on with no frustration of trying to figure out where and how to mount it. I have the one in your link on my Dakota, since there is no catch can made specifically for Dakotas, and it works, but isn't as nice as the one I posted that is specific for the Rams. Plus it was a pain in the *** trying to figure out where to mount it. Ended up drilling holes in my wiper cowl.

I have had five Hemi's and all of them (sans my Trackhawk) got a Billet Technology catch can. Outstanding product. https://www.custombilletstore.net/product_p/20014.htm
I've had a billet tech can on a previous vehicle before they became widely available on Amazon and eBay. They are good quality catch cans, but you pay a premium for the name. The one I linked in Amazon is the same design as the BilletTech cans, but has a drain valve on the bottom so you don't have to unscrew it to empty it.
