I’m in Oklahoma no smog test here thank God!That's part of your evaporative emissions system. Fuel vapors in your intake are supposed to fnd their way out and stick there. The next time your truck starts, fresh air carries the fumes in to burn away. Removing it won't affect the way the truck runs at all, but if you have a nitpicky smog inspector, he might catch it.
