Any tips on getting an AIbox to connect to 12" UC5

I just retrofitted a 12" UC5 into my 19 rebel and my carlinkit aibox that used to work on the 8" uc4 doesn't work on my 12" uc5. I also tried a binize aibox and mmb max and they all will say connected in device manager but will not start carplay or show their start screens. My phone can see them all as a bluetooth device but I get nothing on my radio

May I ask why you want it to connect? There may be settings in the CarlinKit app to send the data through in passthrough mode.

because these aiboxes connect to the truck as carplay and then i can connect my android to it and get full screen android auto.

I thought so, thanks for verifying. My AAwireless adapter has this option too, but when I connect it as CarPlay (Beta) I get a blank screen (this is on a 4c though so still no fullscreen). I don't think any passthrough option would be what you want either as it might not connect as CarPlay then.

The only thing I would say is to try deleting the paring from your phone and re-pair the device (bluetooth or wifi). Maybe even clear the settings from the app's cache and storage on the phone too.

yea its not even acting like its starting. Its crazy cause the carlnkit worked perfectly on 8.4 uc4. I think I am going to get a friends iphone and connect it via wired just to see the carplay option in my apps menu and maybe that will help but I am grasping at straws and tired of unboxing and then boxing these things back up lol
