Any add ons for the opening in the rear of the bed rails?

I noticed the two empty holes in the the bed rails on both sides of the tail gates. It feels like there should have been some sort of factory plug that covers it. Anyways... is there any add ons that can go in there. I was thinking some type of pop up tie down would be nice. I worry about the structural integrity as it seems to only be plastic.
