I’ve read enough threads to come to the consensus that if I leave my tow mirrors up I may be labeled as a tool or whatever by some people but I just cannot get used to the passenger side when down. I’ve given it two months and it’s been a fight every day. It’s disorienting when I need to make quick mirror decisions on the passenger side. I’ve adjusted every way possible.

So, I guess I’ll be that clown that drives up all the time. It’s the only way I’m comfortable.

I do tow a boat and camper which don’t require them up. I also drive a 5500 at work daily with them up so hopping in my own truck with them down just doesn’t work.

Yep. The standard Ram mirrors are far superior to the tow mirrors. Standard mirrors have the night dimming feature the tow mirror lacks. They are easier to see around than tow mirrors when in the down position. Unless you’re towing over 7’ wide, imho they are a poor choice. I tow 102” wide car hauler and when not towing these mirrors are not great. They work Excellent for towing wide.

If you like the truck and hate the mirrors, consider switching them out to a standard model mirror.
