Android Auto turns down music

Does anyone know if there's anyway to not have google maps on android auto turn down the music with its turn by turn? The android auto on my Toyota doesn't turn down the music, would be nice to be able to set it that way.

I'm brand new to Android Auto. I launched Stitcher to play some podcasts. Now, when I have either Google Maps or Waze displayed (and maybe other apps I haven't yet tried), the Stitcher play/pause is minimized underneath the map. Any idea how to remove it? Also, when using Google Maps, I...

no, when google maps announces the next turn coming up, it'll lower the volume of the radio like 50% then after google maps is done announcing the turn , the radio volume returns back to 100%. On my toyota the radio volume remains 100% when google maps announces a turn.

Stock NAV on my 2021 Laramie lowers the volume just on the driver side.
