Android Auto Causes Audio Issue - Front Speakers Stay Off, Volume Doesn't Work

Consider the following scenario:

- I am using a Google Pixel 3 XL via USB with Android Auto turned on.
- I am listening to FM or SiriusXM.
- A notification comes over my phone.
- The front speakers lower volume to play the notification.

At this point, I lose volume control and the front speakers never come back to full volume.

I can fix the problem by pressing the volume power button to turn the system off then back on.

I'm planning on bringing this to my dealers attention.

I'm having the same problem. I notice it most when I'm using the GPS through Android auto. Everytime it tells me where to turn, I lose my volume control until I power off the radio.
