Whenever my truck sits outside in the heat very long the ambient air sensor just reads dots and gives an error. Sometimes my air conditioning then will not work. Once I drive for a while the sensor comes back into range and starts reading a temperature again. I wouldn’t really care about the sensor if it weren’t for it messing with my truck’s AC. I have replace sensor twice. I realize it’s from being in the side mirror and the heat from the black side mirrors. But is there a way to make it not affect the AC when this happens?
