Ambient dimmer output wire location

If anyone is adding ambient lighting, (my big horn only has the overhead console single ambient led), if you pull the driver side side dash cover, there is a a-piller harness you can pull out. There is a white-green tracer wire in the harness I tapped. This goes from 2-12v based on the ambient dimmer dial.
There is also a a orange-lt blue tracer in the same plug for general illumination dimmer, 3.5-12 volts based on cluster dimmer dial.

I replaced the front floorboard bulbs under the dash with leds, then diode isolated them, and wires them to the ambient dimmer with an additional resistor. Now they go bright when you open the door, and nice dim ambient when lights are on. Will probably add some into the door locations at some point.

Mike.ct nice job locating those wires and an inexpensive way for lighting. I took a different route thought I would throw it out there for those who are not familiar with diode’s and resistors or don’t want to tie in to factory wiring. I got power from trailer tail light fuse then went to dimmer switch and then two separate lighting. I found a spot under the front seats to mount these lights for rear floor lighting. Now you got me thinking I could tie into the wire that you located then to my dimmer switch and use the factory switch to adjust. Attach files will show what I used
