I was in the process of buying a set of wheels. Got ready to buy them and decided to read the fine print. Stated they were not liable for for damage done or lost wheels during shipping. So I thought maybe I read it wrong and called them. I was told that if the wheels were lost or damaged, I would have to “ DEAL “ with the shipping company. So again maybe I’ve been doing it wrong all of these years ?

FedEx and UPS have terminology built into their terms that makes it almost impossible to hold them liable for anything. Whenever possible, USPS Priority with insurance.

So the company wouldn’t be liable and the shipping company either so again as consumers we are out of luck ? The main problem here is USPS limits what they will deliver to a residence.

USPS delivered my step bars to a third-floor apartment, so they should be able to handle a few wheels. (Also, I'm very glad to not live on the third floor any longer. Or in an apartment. :)

Well considering I did not sign on the dotted lines for those wheels, I won’t know who they were shipping via. I had a set of wheels shipped and dropped to my office. When I came back to get them one looked like a gator had got to it. I contacted the company the next day, and they had a wheel overnighted to me and picked up the damaged one. No mess no stress, and they are a company I would gladly deal with. Unfortunately the wheels I wanted are oem.

Yeah, thats the problem. In most cases you dont have an option of what carrier is used. Well, I hope they arrive safe and in one piece!

Thank you but I chose not to order from that company. I’ll go to my local dealer and order direct just to play it safe.
