I think the system has a phasing issue. In some tracks there are parts of the background audio, which seem to be in a specific frequency range, that seem cancelled out and hard to hear. I've heard this phenomenon in my truck (a 2023) and a 2020 Jeep GC with an Alpine system.
According to this thread it seem it's pretty common to find the left front dash speaker wired out of phase with the rest of the system.
