I went and test drove a 2021 PowerBoost Ford F150 and was starting to think that was the truck for me. Luckily, I went back and test drove the Ram and Ford back to back and it became clear to me that I prefer the Ram. The ride with the air suspension (even on 22s v 20s in the Ford) was much better and despite Ford stepping up their game inside, the Ram is just better. I will say I probably prefer the Ford's 12" infotainment screen and redundant buttons, but not enough to have it make the difference. In the end I think the Ram Boxes, Split tailgate, etc. are winning out.

Been searching a bit for a Limited EcoDiesel w 3.21 and it's been a struggle to find one the way I want. With supply down seems like the deals aren't as plentiful either. Hearing 2 months on an order. This has me thinking I will wait and order a 2022 when possible. Not a lot of substantiated rumors about any differences I suppose, but I've waited this long I can wait a bit longer.

Thanks everyone for all the great information you provide to the forums to help people like me make a decision!

I did a back to back but with my 2001 Dodge Ram SLT and a 2019 Ford, didn't think there was that much of a difference as far as the ride.

You might want to check in with Aaron at Mark Dodge. Check out the MSRP Thread. Many members have been ordering from him and are getting fantastic deals...especially on upper trims like the Limiteds.

Typically the new model year doesn’t start production until the August time frame, which usually means a late September/early October delivery. Not sure how this year is shaping up with all of the shortages and setbacks though.

And the deals will never be as good at the beginning of a new model year.

Count me as a happy customer of Aarons, first time I've ever said that about any dealer I have ever bought from. You can very easily get a good deal on an order from him, just know that currently ordering is a gamble, and 2 months (per OP's quote) would be very optimistic on a higher trim level truck. I ordered my longhorn on 3.6.21 and they are still "gathering parts", so basically no update since order other than order was accepted.

To @Husker4theSpurs I would definitely recommend taking scasey's advice in checking out the "price off msrp" thread, tons of good info there even if you just want to skimp through the latest 10-20 pages.

Glad to hear!
I've looked at 2021 F-150s last October also just for grins. While I love my RAM, I will drive both models again back to back whenever I am ready to upgrade to a newer model.

Can't wait to see if RAM does a mid-cycle refresh on the 2022 MY. Only good things came come from it.

I, too, was all set on a Powerboost F-150, but over the last few months the sheer volume of issues people have experienced with them changed my mind. Plus the ridiculously long wait times (6+ months!) and the attitude from Ford about the rusty axles made me not want to give them my money.

My brother-in-law bought a PowerBoost about 6 months ago. The truck is beautiful, but he has had nothing but problems and is making the dealership buy it back from him.
