Good day fellow 5th Gen. Ram owners. A/T Tire opinions needed. I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab that needs new tires. I would like to dress it up a little with All-Terrain tires, to drive on beach for some surf fishing, occasional winter snow anh and tried to narrow choices to the following:
d some light dirt trails, and yeah, for the look of course. OEM tires are 275/65R18. I’m keeping the 18 inch wheels, and NO lifting or leveling. Going for 275/70R18. These are just a little bit bigger and should fit without any wheel rubbing problems. 275/75R18 are same width (10.8”) and 1 inch taller - might fit, but will there be a rubbing problem during full wheel turns? Of course my wife’s main concern (and I MUST consider this) is tire noise on the highway at 55, 65 MPH. Have done much research
BF Goodrich A/T KO3 – primarily leaning toward the KO3
Falken Wildpeake AT4W
Cooper discover A/T3 XLT
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT and AT Adventure w/Kevler
Firestone Destination XT and AT2
Would greatly appreciate your experience, advise, recommendations on these tires (keeping in mind wife’s worries of highway noise and ride comfort) or any other A/Ts you feel will fill the bill.
Thanks so much

you’ll get a lot of different opinions here. Myself I’ve done a lot of research and when my time comes to swap out my Goodyear eagle touring tires I’ll be going with one of the 3 below.

If cash allows my first choice is Mickey Thompson Baja boss

Toyo second

Nitro 3rd.

In my opinion from what I’ve read these are the 3 highest quality tires on the market.

Good luck

My vote is for the FIrestone XT I have them on a 2020 Superduty and love them, wear is exellent, snow and field travel very good as well. A touch of noise but not bad or annoying. We just put a set on my son's 2019 Ram. He love the ride now and snow taction.

For reference I have over 55 000 mile on mine right now and they are just under 1/2 tread. Mainly highway miles, some light towing, and a few miles on gravel roads and in the field. I'm light on the fuel pedal and brakes.

Don't be afraid to look at the Bridgestone Ascents. I have very good luck with the Bridgestone Duelers as well on a 1/2 truck.
