I have the 2019 Rebel and my mileage is a little over 50,000. I have had the truck aligned twice. One of those was after adding the Bilstein 5100's to the front to level it out. I have not had any problems with getting truck aligned. Nothing special was required. Can anyone VARIFY what I was told about getting a alignmen? I was told that some 5th gen rams requires a CIT and weld when doing a alignment. Is this true. I have a 2019 5yh gen 1500 lone star 5.7 2wd.
I think someone is (was) confusing a 1500 with the 2500. A couple of years ago Ram made a change to the 2500 steering linkage which proved to be problematic. In the TSB that addresses alignment there is an instruction to apply a small bead weld to the linkage coupler to prevent it moving. However, this does not apply to the Ram 1500 since the steering systems are very different. Can anyone VARIFY what I was told about getting a alignmen?
