Can anyone VARIFY what I was told about getting a alignmen? I was told that some 5th gen rams requires a CIT and weld when doing a alignment. Is this true. I have a 2019 5yh gen 1500 lone star 5.7 2wd.

I have the 2019 Rebel and my mileage is a little over 50,000. I have had the truck aligned twice. One of those was after adding the Bilstein 5100's to the front to level it out. I have not had any problems with getting truck aligned. Nothing special was required.

I have 2019 Limited with air suspension I just had an alignment on mines Friday got some new tires put on 35k miles there was no mention of this requirement for me.

I think someone is (was) confusing a 1500 with the 2500. A couple of years ago Ram made a change to the 2500 steering linkage which proved to be problematic. In the TSB that addresses alignment there is an instruction to apply a small bead weld to the linkage coupler to prevent it moving. However, this does not apply to the Ram 1500 since the steering systems are very different.
