So I bought into the hype I've been reading about how wonderful the hellwig 7709 bar is. Easy install, but to be honest, not super impressed for the price. I was expecting a noticeable difference but the truck is still pretty slushy in the corners, and I'm running my 22" road tires at 40psi, truck has 50k miles on it. I've got the bar in the middle position. I'm wondering if air suspension behaves differently than the coil springs when paired with the hellwig bar? I can try moving it to the closest to axle position for tightest control, or am I just expecting too much? For reference I've ran a steeda upgraded sway bar on both my focus hatchbacks and that is a massive improvement on a focus, like making it handle on rails and literally push through corners if the road is wet and you get too aggressive.
Took a test drive, windy road around the lake with the wife after install, didn't tell her I'd changed anything, she didn't notice. And she definitely would have, she loves to point out strange behavior, squeek/rattles in cars. I'll be towing my 32ft travel trailer in two weeks, but never towed it with the Ram before so I don't have a comparison. Guess we'll wait and see.
