I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab And replaced (due to damage) both Driver and passenger side mirrors with after market ones a few years back. Recently my ambient temperature is showing-40, so my AC in the cab won’t kick in. I picked up a replacement sensor to change it, however noticed there’s only the little flap to access the sensor on the original mirrors and the aftermarket one doesn’t have one, so not sure how to get at it? I seen in a previous thread someone had contacted mopar and were told the aftermarket mirror doesn’t have the ambient temperature sensor in it but am thinking that can’t be true as I’ve been running with these mirrors for a few years now and outside temperature has always been reasonably accurate up until recently?
