Does anyone know if they make aftermarket rotors for the 5th gen?. My trucks has had a brake squeal since new. The dealer replaced the front rotors and pads at around 5k. Squeal went away for a while but is back at 14k miles it’s extremely annoying having that high pitched squeal

R1 Concepts does. Just came across them somewhere, haven’t really searched in depth
Yea their website says not available, called them and the guy says they do have have them but the website hasn’t been updated. Kinda sketchy. Either way thanks bro much appreciated.

Probably be a little while. Much bigger brake set up compared to 4th gens

I use R1 concepts on all my vehicles and Iove them. If you can hold out that's what I would recommend. I had the ceramic pads with slotted rotors on my 4th gen for towing and it was night and day difference from stock. As soon as this set of pads wear out that's what I'm switching to.

I couldn’t imagine that, not saying can’t improve. Anything can more then likely be improved from aftermarket.
At least for me the braking ability and size already is impressive for a 1/2 ton truck

I will def agree that the brake setup is much better on the 5th gens.

I believe there are EBC USR Rotors available for our trucks as well as Greenstuff pads. The pads are a bit of an upgrade over stock pads, the slotted rotors are a nice upgrade over stock. I think they're sold as kits on many websites like carid. Part #'s S2KF1668 for the front, S2KR2457 for the rear.

It does say new generation. But if you see the specifications it says 5 lug. I’m gonna call EBC for some clarification.

I had the same apprehensions, I didnt bother to call EBC. I'm going to wait another few months before I upgrade. The stock brakes arent too bad yet, starting to get a little squeaky though.

So I called ebc and they confirmed no applications for the new body style 1500’s.

I have had my brakes and rotors replaced under warranty 2 times now for squealing. It has 15k miles approximately, I do not tow and the truck is completely stock. The dealer said They were glazed both times. it sucks man hopefully the aftermarket companies will make a set for these soon
