Adding Reverse Light Error Code

I've tried adding addtion flood lights for plowing and have tapped into the "REVERSE" wire of the 7 pin connector. The dash will display "Check Trailer Connection" each ti,e the vehicle goes into reverse. The Lights will come on for a split second and then shut off. I purchased an adapter/splitter will a pigtail for additional reverse wiring built in and the same issue happens.

Has anyone resolved this issue. I do not want to wire in seperate switch

THe first wiring is the same as I had done with ny 2022 1500 Laramie without any issues or codes/wrnings displaying
