Adding blu-ray for kids in backseat option?

In my 2012 I had a lockpick that allowed me to watch dvd's om my small uconnect screen. Seems like the new 8.4" screen has everything locked down so we can't watch anything. So I am looking for options for the kids. Do I get replacement headrests with monitors, monitors you attach to the headrest, portable blu-ray players? What are some good options? Anyone have a setup they could send me pics of. Thanks

Actually playing blu-rays or just streaming/playing downloaded content? I just have a cheap tablet holder off Amazon that attaches to a headrest and extends to the middle of the seats.

I sent a email to CoastalTech for the lockpick and they recently replied. I specifically asked about the 12inch screen. This was their reply:
