I am in process of installing a new setup in my 2021 1500 Bighorn. I need to route 2 runs of 1/0 gauge power into the cab. I looked at the firewall and did not see a good location to bring them in. How have you done it?

I might run along the frame rails and use the factory grommets behind the rear seats.

Thanks for your advice.

There is a grommet to the left of the steering column on the firewall. I cut a hole and ran some 10g through there and used sealant on the other side to waterproof the hole. Plenty space to pull 1/0G thru. Good luck.👍 20230531_122207.jpg

This is exactly what I did - under the frame rails on the driver's side (I put my 0 gauge into aluminum flex tube first - and then up & through behind the seats. There was 1 existing grommet & hole that was the right size, and I expanded a 2nd hole until it was large enough (I bought new rubber grommets to push through the holes & protect the cables). All-in-all, was one of the easier aspects of my build.

There's no way I wanted 2 runs of 0 gauge bulging out my carpet - and no way it would fit under or in some of the trim and cable tracks - it was hard enough getting my speaker wire runs hidden properly!
