Hello,
Been reading a lot of forums regarding adding factory power running boards. I installed mine the other day and was thinking they would be plug and play. That was not the case. Took it to the dealer this morning cause I thought they needed to be programmed in order to even go up and down…not the case in my situation. Sure they programmed my truck to think it now has power running boards, but the dealer found codes regarding my running boards. So now I have random beeps when ever I drive saying that my steps are not available..great!! The dealer did give me a couple of them were “bidb2-13” “bidb3-11” and “bidb3-13”. They basically mean that the motors have open circuits and have a short to the ground. Any possible fixes to this?
I have messed with the wiring thinking it would fix it but nope waste of 1,300 I guess.
Also to mention the fasteners to hold the module against the firewall won’t even reach! So I just have a module laying around now.
Thank you,
