I just finished the 8.4” to 12.1” upgrade. The directions listed on here were simple and easy to follow, but I ran into an issue I couldn’t find the answer to. I reached out to jimmy07 and he saved the day. He quickly said my lvds cable was probably the wrong one. He had me do a continuity check on the pins and that turned out to be my issue. Jimmy told me the lvds cable for the UC5 ram is unique and the others will not work and that’s exactly what I had. Unfortunately that cable isn’t available, so I cut mine and resoldered it in the correct configuration and it is now functioning like it should. I just wanted to give a shout out to Jimmy for all his contributions that have helped so many of us with these trucks.
