Hello!

I just bought a new '26 Ram Rebel GT the other day and so far I absolutely love it. I've had 2 other 5th gen Rams and honestly have no idea if this was a common thing with the other two as this specific scenario never happened so I never thought to look in to it but:

I dropped something between the crack of the seat and had to fish it out from under the seat and my hand grazed up against the gray box under the seat and it was REALLY hot. I'm talking you couldn't leave your hand on there for more than a couple seconds or it would have burned me.

I found the part number on it (68719336AA) and discovered it's the OEM amplifier. It's the gray metal unit that's under the driver's seat.

It has the Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group so it has the 19 Harman Kardon Speakers (my other 5th gen Rebels had that as well but I never had the experience of accidentally touching the amplifiers under the seats (if there was one..surely there must have been)

Anyways, is it normal for it to get that hot?

Thank you for your time and for any help!
