About to pull the trigger on a setup and wanted a sanity check:

'24 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew
- Daily driver
- Occasional mild off-roading
- Occasional towing
- Going for a mostly leveled look
- Ability to fit 35's
- Increase or at least maintain ride quality

Setup:
- 6112s in the front at 2.6" (max)
- KSP 2-4in tubular UCAs
- 5160s in the rear
- 1" Eibach Pro Lift springs in the back
- AirLift 1000D airbags for the rare heavy tows.

I want to maintain a little rake for towing and since it sounds like the Eibach springs actually have closer to 1.5" rise, my estimations are that I should have about an inch or a little less of rake left after things settle.

Does this check out?

It's actually an excellent setup. You will need the bags for towing. The Eibach coils are progressive which makes them a little mushy at the top of the stroke. They are really for off road. So you'll need the bags to eliminate that while you're towing. This will be true for any off road rear coils. You are going to love this setup. I would just add that the KSP's are the absolute bottom of where you want to be. Go up but not down from there.

I try to stay with the same companies components when possible.. for example Bilstein B12 springs instead of the Eibachs. Reason being, I bet during the R&D process Bilstein probably used their own shock setup to choose the right spring rate to pair with In theory resulting in a better quality ride.

When you start mixing up companies different companies components you may be messing with the ride quality. So if you going with Bilstein struts… go w/ their spring in the rear or do Eibach struts plus their springs. You don’t really wanna assume it’s all compatible even though physically it will all work and bolt up together.

I thought about the B12s. I just read that they're a bit stiffer than stock, making ride quality a little worse. Good thinking on staying with the ecosystem, though. I will do a bit more research on them.

Where did you read that at? They’re also a progressive spring so with the bed unloaded and without much weight on the hitch they’re gonna ride better and when loaded you’re still gonna have the spring rate necessary within reason when loaded. No complaints from me in both configuration.

My basic setup.. Bilstein 5100 front and rear, stock springs in front, B12 springs in the rear. I’ve had this setup for around 20k miles or so… zero complaints.. ride quality is amazing and better than stock and I drive this thing around the country further than most do for work and thats with if I guess around 400-500lb in the bed between a jobox, tote and cooler that I carry typically and sometimes pulling a trailer.

Never heard of KSP personally but I would maybe look at the better known brands like Readylift, Rough Country etc for the control arms. Of course there’s even better options but that also comes with increased cost.

That's what I gathered on the UCAs... will probably upgrade them at some point.

As an aside, I see in your setup you have 35/12.5 tires.. Any issues getting those to fit?

Go ahead add Suspension Maxx end-links for the front.. bet you’ll notice your clunk shortly after the leveling. Don’t know why but just seems to always happen after a leveling or lift. Swap the sway bar front bushings to while you’re there (Moog, or Energy Suspension)

Hellwig swaybar for the rear…Amazing upgrade especially when towing. Stock rear endlinks should mostly work there but I would also take a look at Core 4x4 extended links to keep the swaybar in a happy position.

Great selection and information. I ran the 6112/5160 on my 4th Gen w/ 6" lift and rode great with the Hellwig SB. I did upgrade rear links with CORE4X4 solid links.

I have the 6112/5160’s on my truck with Fabtech uniball UCA and love them.
