Has anyone experienced really hard downshifts from 6-5 under medium acceleration? It would also do it occasionally on 7-5, but it was always 5th gear. I was on a roadtrip recently, and it was acting a bit more 'aggressive' than normal on that particular downshift, to the point where I thought the driveshaft/rear diff were going to have a failure. It was a solid 'thud' throughout the truck. '21 with 37k miles.

More info about your truck would help. Do you have eTorque? It can cause what feels like a more aggressive downshift.

Might the driveshaft issue some have...the driveshaft is a two piece design that expands/contracts and looseness shows up as a thud or clunk when going from braking to accelerating.
