Funny story to the warranty. I bought the 2019 in 2018 back when you could get 8/9k off sticker. It was the dealer show truck parked out front. I knew of the max lifetime from this forum and doing my research, the original dealer tried to sell me a 3rd party warranty during purchase but I didn’t want it or to finance it when I could get the maxcare online for cheaper. Here’s the best part, there’s a previous post of mine about the loose ground wire on the power steering causing it to intermittently fail. One my way home from the dealer the night I drove the truck home, the power steering kept going in and out. The next day I took it back, they were unaware of the actual issue. Instead they told me they would pull the power steering unit from a new truck because it was too new and they could not get the part. All was well, but I told them I lacked faith in a vehicle that didn’t make the initial drive home and threatened to return it. To make it right they gave me the warranty for free! Moral of the story the customer is always right and you do have leverage and should not be at the mercy of a salesman. I declined the over priced “bulb replacement”‘for the bed stop lamp and while the other 5yr/80k maintenance items may have dealer inflation costs I have no problem paying them $1,000 for belts, fluids, alignment etc. Making my TCO for 5 years of upkeep $200/yr and avoiding any future warranty issues since they performed the service. Also to any new owners. Go to the mopar owner site, register your vehicle. I have a 10% coupon for parts and service from there and frequently get 3 prepaid oil changes with tire rotations for the cost of 1 express oil change.
