Hellos everyone, I’m think about doing a cam and new lifter on my 2020 rebel with the 5.7. I’m not sure if I should keep the mds or get rid of it. Also debating if I should can it or not? It has 117k miles. I’m not sure what else I would need to do if I did end up doing a mds delete with a cam and lifters.

You can get entire kits for something like this, cam + springs + mds delete etc. You'd need to have it tuned professionally as well, either by them or someone else. I'd get the "hellfire" kit as its the best version for our trucks. After that, longtube headers would be beneficial.

If you are doing a cam get rid of MDS, it is probably the worst part of a gen 3 hemi. You can keep vvt if you want, engine masters did a test with some cams and kept vvt and they performed great from memory.
