So I've had this vehicle for a little over 4yrs now and idk that I'd buy another one after this. The comfort and ride quality has been amazing especially for long drives but the reliability I think might be the worst of any vehicle I've ever owned. Within a month the trailer wiring harness was corroded and had to be replaced, it needed the radio replaced last year, the ball joint on the upper control arm recently exploded during normal driving, the oil pan is already leaking, it's been aligned more than any car I've ever owned combined and still can't wear tires evenly, it's blown the white lights in the third brake light twice already, and there's weird little electrical ghosts like if you try and auto up both windows at once most times only one will work (weird small things like that). To be fair I haven't looked across other manufacturers at their issues and I am used to mainly cars pre 2015 models (maybe vehicles just got way worse in the past few years?). Idk where I'm going with this because I do love the truck but thinking back on all the issues it doesn't sound like a good long term vehicle.

Sorry to hear that man. On the flip side I have a 2019 that I bought new and the only thing I had was the catalytic converter problem. Everything else has been great and no problem with tire wear either.

Its because you got the E-Torque. Everyone hates that, so might as well blame it. 🤣 (Kidding.)

Not that that this helps you at all, I'm sorry to hear about all your problems, but to throw more info at you:
My father bought a new 2022 Limited with the 5.7 (non-e-torque) back in 2022. Other than his tailgate needing adjusted (his multi-function tailgate needs to be slammed hard to get it to latch properly), he's had no issues over 38k miles. The tailgate evidently doesn't bother him, as its had that issue since the first year, and he has yet to take it in to get fixed.

Sounds like you got an oddball semi-bad apple this round, unfortunately.

funny thing is.
Ram 1500 Most Dependable Truck
This win comes on the heels of winning JD Power back-to-back initial quality awards in 2023 and 2024. For the 2026 study, here are how the trucks finished: First – Ram 1500. Second – Chevy Silverado 1500.Feb 13, 2026

My 2021 Laramie 5.7 non e-torque. Just passed the five year mark. It spent its first 2 years pulling an RV and that was some brutal work. Sold the RV. The Ram is passing 44k miles. The only trouble I’ve had is the leaking rear glass. I did not screw around with it. I had it replaced outside warranty with single glass no window or defrost. Cost me $445. Other than that this truck is perfect.

5 years and 100K. Both sides broken manifolds. Fuel Pump Modulator which i pulled off myself, cargo light keeps going out, two Visors fell off. 2 tire pressure sensors, 2 upstream 02 sensors which may have been ok but I have leaking manifolds. Leaky window. Worthless MDS.

Drives and feels great though.

My first and last Hemi.
