Here you go: I went from BDS 4” lift up front & 2” spacer in the rear with 35s, to BDS 4” lift all around with Bilstein 5100s set at 1.7” up front with 37s. The nice thing is that the BDS 4” and 6” kits are the exact same, the only difference is the height of the spacer in front & the length of the coils/shocks/end links in the rear. All your drop down brackets are the same part #s though. Which means technically running it at 4” height makes your control arm angles & CV axle angles a little better. 9F21AE6C-DFFC-470E-B52D-F63BB18856AE.jpeg 75CC71FA-1901-4B2D-AD5E-52029A34D404.jpeg B9A635F3-7C14-4E3F-AAAD-A47FD9BB5FF3.jpeg 4F669BFF-7887-4D6C-B668-F9E4941D3CB7.jpeg

yea im thinking going with 4 inch lift. i have a rebel eco diesel with fox 2.5 coilovers, they told me i need bds lift kit 4 inch because the ecodiesels have ssomething shorter … i have the coilovers at stock height … no rub but one spot and it barely rubs… so i wanted to raise the coils about a inch more … they saying that would be the proper way to fix the rubbing …(i feel like they just wanna get me to buy the bds kit) now my question for you guys would be just raise the inch more ?

get the bds 4 inch lift and coil overs ( which they said the ones i have would be no good anymore and need to put a hat on top ) so i should just buy ones that come with the bds kit
or just do a 6 inch lift 😅

i feel like 4 is good for the off roading i do ….
also
i also kinda like the 37s on 18s 🥹

Ok so to answer your questions:
1) Why don’t you just trim where it rubs?
2) No you don’t “need” the BDS kit, you can either adjust the coilovers or put a top hat spacer on for an additional one inch lift for a total of 3.5”. Just make sure to buy aftermarket upper control arms!
3) The BDS 4” kit is not offered with coilovers, but if I were you & already had the 2.5” ones then just put a 1.5”-2” spacer on top of them. It will ride the same and have the same performance as your current setup, just 2” taller. With this you should not run aftermarket UCAs.
4) I want to run 37s or 38s on 18s also. I think your best bet if you want to run tires that large would be to get the Zone or BDS 4” kit, use your current coilovers & add a 2.5” spacer on top, and do 37x12.50s. But with that you’ll probably have to trim also haha which is why I say maybe just trim your current setup and then down the road do the bigger setup

so if i dont get the kit just get control arms and top hat spacers? do you think i would run into drive shaft issues in the front i read a bunch the ecodiesels was shorter and stuff like that. hence why they was saying i needed the bds kit

also if i did the full bds kit was just gonna sell my current coilovers which i. had for one season …

im honestly just looking for a bit more clearance i off road the truck also in vermont and in snow 😅

but i was thinking 37 x 12.5 tires also
yes im on the ropes of just geting the bds like you said and trimming and just addd 37 hahah

seeing your truck it looks so good
my current set up is stock rebel height at 305/70/18

It’s a 2.5” diameter coilover but the shock & coil is longer obviously to lift it

There is no 4” coilover unless you got some custom made, but yes it would be longer because that’s what’s lifting the truck

Mclovinnnnn, truck looks good. Ayoslickxd, here are some pictures of my 1500 with BDS 6" and Fox 2.5 front and 2.0 rear, running 35's on 20x10 -24. She’s dirty but I hope the pictures help with your decision. 044A4D89-4194-411F-BE16-32924F150495.jpeg 1C8F3CBF-EEFA-4CF2-AAA2-1E98893BBBCE.jpeg 15381C43-AE48-432D-B45F-8C8C2320596D.jpeg AE4FFD06-038C-4C34-A0C4-300F14F78456.jpeg

Thanks man your truck looks great too! I’m surprised you can see the black wheels so well in the pictures. Maybe it’s because the truck’s gray so the camera isn’t picking up as much contrast. Because with my white truck I can hardly get the wheels to show up on camera lol
