285/55r22 vs 295/55r22

im wanting to buy the toyo at3 but they are out on national backorder in the 285/55r22 size which i read on forums will fit fine , but i can find them in stock in the 295/55r22 size. does anyone know if it will cause any issues as far as rubbing ..getting 2inch mopar lift as we speak.

Just had 285/55r22 Toyo OC AT3 installed today. Stock suspension as of now, stock 22” Laramie Sport wheels, and they definitely rub. Putting a 2” level on this week. Will probably need a set of spacers as well, as there’s very little clearance between tire/UCA. Will look closer in the morning.

Level installed yesterday! Completely changed the look of the truck! Don’t believe I’m going to need the spacers, but still might get a 1” set just for looks/stance. Was able to find all the spots where tires were rubbing and trimmed wheel well liners out.

Hot tip: apply some spray-on foot powder to the liners . Stays on well enough to show where tires are rubbing, but washes right off with water. Used to work in an archery shop growing up, and we’d do this on bows to see if we had arrow fletching contact. Wipes right off.

No rub, lock-to-lock (without foot powder)
Air Suspension: Normal is actual OR1, lost OR2
Added Daystar Spacers: All Air Suspension modes available

Running with both... Spacers allow all Air Suspension heights to operate at factory settings. Without the spacers, the bags over-inflate in Normal, resulting in a harsher ride. The links level truck, which I prefer the look over the factory rake.

Keep us updated on the ride, performance, etc. I have almost the same truck. Stance looks sweet. Tires look great too. I'm waiting until later in the year to swap out stock tires and on the fence with messing with air suspension.

i have some 305/45/22 left from my ford that are in great shape. I was hoping to just swap them in but you're saying that the airbags will overinflate if I do? Mine are street-based tires and don't have any knobbies on the top. But I'm assuming that the tire height would still be the same? What do you think?

Also, did you get any rubbing after the install or did you have to do some extra work?

I was able to add the 305/45/22 to my Limited without any alterations. I went with street tires not off-road style and no rubbing at all. No rubbing at entry/exit either, which I thought there would be. I have always run the 305’s on my trucks and like the stance much better. Thanks for the help!
